Hello class of 2016, parents, teachers and students. You are now looking at the graduating class of 2016. Leaving Golf is going to be hard for all of us but we will always keep the memories. We went through thick and thin together but here we are now graduating as one.
When I first came to Golf I thought these four years I'd have here would take forever. But in a blink of an eye were already graduating. Feels like just yesterday we were the little tiny kids of Golf. But were official done being the leaders here, and its now time for the class of 2017 to take over
I can guarantee that none of us are going to forget about Golf or the teachers in it. The biggest reason were all her today is because of our teachers. They were the ones who never gave up on us in our worst times. They were the ones who stayed up responding to our emails, or grading our work. They made sure that we were learning each day but also having a little fun here and there. Even if it didn't seem like it, we knew that they cared for us and wanted us to do great. They created us to be the people we are today. Our teachers were basically our second parents. They had to live with our crazy behavior and our bad choices. They understood when we having an off day or weren't feeling too good. They were the ones we could tell everything too, and trust them with secrets. Some how they always had the right words to say. And I just want to thank them so much for that.
I also want to give a huge thanks to my classmates. They were the reason I wanted to go to school everyday. They were the ones who made me smile, cry, and laugh. They always helped make my day. You can't get along perfectly with everyone but we found a way to work together and put aside our differences. They made me a stronger person. They prepared me for the real world. But I'm most thankful for my closest friends. I was able to trust them with everything. I knew that they were they for me. Even if it was for the smallest things, like telling me what the Spanish homework or for bigger things like being there for me and reminding me everything will be okay. After the four years here at Golf my real friends finally shinned through and they are the ones I'll never forget. All the great laughs we had in class, the projects we did together, and the times we got in trouble but it was all worth it in the end. I'm going to miss them so much. But I still want to thank the kids who I wasn't so close with. They helped me when I didn't understand something, they also put up with all my talking and giggling in class. And I want to thank them for them for that.
I'd finally like to say thanks to my parents. They're my world and I hope they know that. They pushed me to be the best I could be. Not to just settle with okay. To fight for what I want. And to remember two wrongs don't make a right. They reminded me to keep my head up and work hard. They had to deal with complaining everyday about all the homework we had or projects I waited last minute to do.They've dealt with me for all these years and there are more years to come. I love them so much and I'm so thankful for them.
I would like to leave you guys with a famous quote by Les Brown, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you land among the stars.'' I want you guys to know to never stop trying, you'll get there one day.Thank you everyone. I will never forget Golf Middle Schools Class of 2016.
